Final Weave Project

For my final project I choose the portrait style low poly and then I "weaved" it with the original photo. I like the style of the low poly and although it takes the longest time to create the end product is worth it. For the low poly portrait I primarily used the polygonal lasso tool to select the triangle; the action tool, to make the process easier; and the filter blur average. For the weave I used the rectangular marquee tool and the polygonal lasso tool to select and the gradient tool to add the weave effect. Some challenges I faced during this project was deciding the composition of my photo and where the weaves should lay on the photo. If the weaves were not placed correctly the facial features of the girl in the photo were lost or confusing and the photo became overwhelming. I believe that in the end, I placed the weaves in a good position that complimented her facial features in a unique way that wasn't so cropped to the photo.
