Double Exposure
My main objective of this piece was to create a double exposure effect by slightly merging images together to give the effect of one slightly fading into another. For this project I primarily used the selection, clipping mask, and paint brush tools. During this project, I faced the challenge of selecting two images that would work well together. Although it may not seem like it, finding to images that can easily merge into each other while looking natural is quite difficult. I used the quick selection tool, and eraser to come in and make sure my section was clean. Once I achieved my clean selection, I filled in the background with a solid clean color. Using a layer mask allows you to to gradually merge image but allowing one to be masked over the other. In other words it allows one to be underneath the other and gradually come through, creating the double exposure effect.
