Celebrity Photo Retouch

My main objective for this project was to gently and a naturally retouch her face to erase imperfection. For this project I primarily used the spot healing brush to heal wrinkles, the paint brush to paint over uneven areas, the dodge and burn tool to brighten and darken areas, and the liquify tool to slim and adjust features on her face. The main challenge i faced while creating this project was to make the retouches look gentle and not "photoshoped". After completing this project, in my opinion I feel that there should be a warning placed on retouched images because viewers should be aware that what they're seeing is not real and was done on the computer. When images are retouched to the point that it is impossible that a human could even look like this, peoples images of themselves can be damaged. Therefore, viewers should be advised of this before they let their self-esteem plummet.
