My main objective as the artist of this piece while creating my low poly portrait was to recreate the photo of Angelina using triangles to represent her facial features, and the overall photo. For this project i primary used the polygonal lasso tool and the actions tool which simplified the steps of blurring the triangle i had created into one solid color and copying and pasting that triangle onto its own layer. I used different sized triangles depending on the detail of the face. For smaller and more detailed parts of the face such as the eyes i used small triangle where the larger parts of the image such as the hair i used larger triangles. Some of the challenges i faced during this project included overcoming my fear of using bigger and less detailed triangles and working both sizes of triangles together in a way that tied it all together. I feel that successfully completed this project because I achieved the low poly look that i was aiming for by recreating the original photo of Angelina Jolie.
